This morning I woke up to the following piece of good news:
We’ve officially passed the 3000 subscribers mark!
Too celebrate this I want to give all of you reading this (whether a free subscriber, a paid-up Soaring Twenties Social Club regular, or someone who has yet to take the plunge into either of those categories) a small token of my appreciation.
So I have dug into my archive and collected all of my unpublished work into a free PDF for you all.
This ebook (see the link below) features all 17 issues of my 2021 ‘Workshop’ series and all 31 of my original long form film reviews (before this feature was incorporated into the Soaring Twenties Social Clubs weekly Omnibus offering). This ebook runs to over 50,000 words in total. And it is yours for free.
People have been asking me for a while if I had any plans for these two defunct and deleted series and now seems like the perfect time to release them as a gift to you all.
Long time readers will (hopefully!) remember these pieces fondly and will be able to either incorporate the lessons of the Workshop into their own writing practice or at least people able to peruse the Reviews to find a good film to watch tonight.
And new readers- and there has been a whole wave of you coming aboard as of late (thanks largely to Luke Burgis’ excellent interview with me and the spreading of that conversation via The Sovereign Artist)- will now have a chance to look through the deep cuts, through the proverbial ‘B sides and Rarities’ to see what I am all about.
So I hope you enjoy this free book, I hope you spread the word that I’m giving it away and I hope to get to know some more of you better over at the Soaring Twenties Social Club community.
Cheers!
P.S. I mean it when I say the Workshop and Reviews book is 100% free. However, I’m going to post a link to my buymeacoffee page below just in case you feel compelled to reimburse me for it a little…
You are a giving god.
Thanks for the ebook. I just discovered you from The Tyranny Of Numbers article which was great. But you made fun of yourself for celebrating your first 1,000 on Twitter. Don't let the numbers get to you. Congrats though.
